In

Research
in England, England’s Family Records Centre, Town Clerk in English
Local Government, and Old Church Records) was undertaken using the following
descriptors:
Samuel Thring, Samuel James Thring, Harry Thring, Frank Thring, Henry Thring,
and anything associated with the names and including the dates of that period. This has been a collaborative effort between Father Duncan MacKenzie, Lionel Thring, and Alistair Thring. Most of the interviews were conducted by Father Duncan MacKenzie*. He personally visited families in different towns in South Africa and Swaziland. We owe him our sincere gratitude in this endeavor. Lionel Thring contributed greatly towards this project. He is responsible for some of the information and most of the images and photographs of Frank Thring and family. Alistair Thring did additional research; designed and created the website. Its been difficult getting information about the grandparents born between 1890's and 1910. Most specifically it has been so difficult in obtaining names, dates of birth, dates of marriages, and dates of deaths. Also has been very difficult to get photos of those great people.
